About Us & Our Journey
Founded in July 2016 by industry expert Derick Stevens, Gas‑Etc (Pty) Ltd is a leading gas solutions provider in South Africa. We supply LPG, industrial, medical, and specialty gases, and provide on-site gas generation systems, equipment, and training. With over 30 years of experience in the gas industry, we serve domestic, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and laboratory clients. Our goal is to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient gas solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
Since our inception, Gas‑Etc has grown steadily:

2016 – Began supplying LPG to domestic households and restaurants in Petit, Benoni.

2017 – Expanded to Apex Industrial Sites, Benoni, introducing industrial gases, welding and cutting equipment, and safety solutions.

2018 – Added laser gases, laboratory regulators, and medical gases for clinics.

2019 – Launched the On-Site Generation (PSA) division, supplying Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Hydrogen for laboratories, laser cutting, and mining.

2023 – Supported beverage companies with Liquid CO₂ supply.

2024 – Expanded to CO₂ tank supply, pipeline systems, ambient and electric vaporizers, and turnkey bulk gas storage solutions.
